Not all tea is created equal. Behind some brews real people are faced with low wages, discrimination and poverty, at times not earning enough to feed themselves or their families. Teministeriet recognizes these hardships and is committed to being a part of the Fairtrade movement to achieve sustainable and equitable trade relationships for tea farmers, workers and their communities. We do this by, not only paying a minimum for the price of the tea, but also an additional Fairtrade premium to support tea cooperatives that aim to better the working and living conditions for farmers and workers. From building schools to medical equipment, this means that when you purchase Fairtrade tea, you also become part of the force for change, so farmers and workers can have greater security, equality and opportunity.
